Tap into Tap by Clementine Jones

With the UK heatwave showing no mercy, illustrator Clementine Jones has created a beautiful poster to inspire us to turn to tap.

“To me it seems ridiculous to buy water. It frightens me that it is becoming the norm, to the extent that I get odd or pitying looks from waiters when I specifically ask for tap water,” says Clementine. “The idea that mineral water is somehow cleaner or better for you is completely false. A quarter of bottled water is bottled up tap water anyway, therefore a quarter of bottled water drinkers have paid an extortionate price for a placebo effect.”

Why?

The carbon footprint of a litre of bottled water is 300 times larger than a litre of tap and costs around 500 times as much. That’s like paying £1,500 for a glass of wine, which is insane.

How?
