Lit Naturally by Naomi Wood

This week photographer Naomi Wood has created a poster to show us how to illuminate interior spaces in the most beautiful and energy-efficient way: by opening the curtains and letting the light in.

“I wanted to help people appreciate natural light and think twice about using unnecessary artificial light indoors. Taking inspiration from photographers Lazlo Maholy Nagy, Ye Rin Mok and Lilio Raymond, I began exploring ways to capture the patterns created in our homes by the sun. Ultimately I found that the simplest image said everything that I wanted to say; that natural light is the most beautiful.”

Why?

Natural light costs nothing, has a carbon footprint of zero, looks more beautiful and makes you more alert.

How?

To make the most of natural light (and reduce your electric bill), consider getting some Solatube ‘light tubes’ installed in your home or office.
