Meat Sweats by Chris Chapman
For this week’s poster, graphic designer and veggie Chris Chapman got his hands dirty to encourage carnivores to beat the meat habit, making this image out of 100% meat.
“‘I’m getting the meat sweats’ was a way of paraphrasing climate change. I associate the phrase ‘meat sweats’ most strongly with that Man v Food guy, who is all about eating more meat than he can handle. I also thought the tone of voice was funny as ‘man’ is probably not something the Earth would say.”
Why?
Ounce by ounce, we are slow-cooking, spit-roasting and char-grilling our planet towards overheating. The meat industry is now considered to be responsible for 51% of global greenhouse gas emissions, officially making it about bloody time to do something about it.
Why?
For many of us meat is an important part of our diet, but don’t sweat it – we can make a big difference by cutting down instead of cutting it out. Make a fresh start to the week by keeping Mondays meat free and stocking up with an award-winning organic vegbox from Riverford.
