The Beautiful Side of Climate Change
The Guardian is currently hosting a mesmeric, absorbing piece of digital art by Lia, which allows you to create your own tornado. Although we at Do The Green Thing would like to consider ourselves, on the whole, anti-tornadoes, it is hard to deny the deific joy in creating and manipulating your own miniature weather event and watching as it spirals out of control beneath your mouse.
Sadly, climate change means that extreme weather events will occur with ever-greater regularity (although the evidence on a link to tornado frequency is equivocal). Nevertheless, this small piece of digital fun reminds us to do the green thing, making our impact on the environment that bit less harmful.
