29 Posters for the Planet

Do The Green Thing have teamed up with WWF-UK and asked world-class creatives to design a poster to inspire the world to live more sustainably for Earth Hour and beyond.

From the 1st of March until Earth Hour on the 29th of March, we released a different poster from a famous creative every day. Each of the 29 posters serves as a piece of inspiration to encourage millions of people around the world to take up simple actions like cycling to work and eating less meat to reduce the impact we are having on the planet.

The contributors who have lent their creativity for the campaign include Sir Paul Smith, Sir Quentin Blake, David Shrigley, Neville Brody, Marion Deuchars, Rankin, Camilla Rutherford, Paula Scher and a host of Pentagram partners.

Concluding the campaign on the 29th of March was 22 year old Rebecca Charlton from Bolton, who won the public vote in the Earth Hour Young Creatives competition. With support from Clear Channel, Rebecca’s work will feature on poster sites across the country. The two runners up, illustrator Jamie Eke and designer Matthew Elliot, will also feature in the collection.
