Less Waste, More Christmas by Do The Green Thing

Merry Christmas from Do The Green Thing

As our Christmas excitement snowballs, so does our consumption. To be fully prepped for the big day we need to stock up on: food, tree ornaments, presents, wrapping paper, Sellotape, cards, gift tags and, if you’re fancy, ribbons. It’s a monumental list, that often ends up in the bin before the year is out.

Don’t get us wrong, giving, receiving, and eating are some of the best things about the festive season. But this Christmas, we are taking our planet into account by reducing our contributions to the UK’s gigantic Yuletide rubbish pile. And that’s not an exaggeration, every year we reportedly throw out the equivalent of 2 million turkeys, 5 million Christmas puddings, 74 million mince pies and 83 square kilometres of wrapping paper. Try singing that list to the tune of The Twelve Days of Christmas.

This poster is a one-stop shop for some of your Christmas essentials* that aims to help you cut back on waste. It is designed for A4 so that you can print it at home on paper that you already have and assemble it whilst you wait for dinner to cook.
